The diesel engine nameplate is marked with effective power. The national standard stipulates that according to the use and characteristics of the diesel engine, one or two of the following four types of power are indicated on the nameplate of the diesel engine.

1, 15 minutes power: suitable for situations requiring short-term good overload and acceleration performance, such as cars, motor boats, etc.;

2, 1 hour power: suitable for machinery that needs a certain power reserve to overcome the sudden increase of load, such as wheeled tractors, locomotives, ships, etc.;

3, 12 hours of power: suitable for machinery that needs to run continuously within 12 hours and to fully utilize the power of diesel engines, such as agricultural irrigation and drainage machinery, locomotives, construction machinery, tractors, etc.;

4. Continuous power: It is suitable for equipment that needs long-term continuous operation, such as agricultural irrigation and drainage machinery, ships, power stations, etc.
